The bowl is silicone; the grinder is metal. The supplier's own data lists both materials for the set, which is why they are listed separately here rather than as one claim.
Using It
- Work in the bowl, not next to it. The whole point of a bowl with sides is that nothing leaves it.
- Fill the grinder to the middle of the teeth. Above that and it grinds unevenly and feels stiff.
- Use the scissors for the fine work. They are sharper and smaller than anything in a kitchen drawer, which is exactly why they are here.
- Pinch the bowl to pour into the loader. Silicone folds — use that instead of tipping and hoping.
- Rinse the bowl, dry the scissors. Silicone is happy wet; steel is not.

Why silicone instead of glass?
Glass looks better on a shelf and breaks in a bag. Silicone does not shatter, does not hold residue, and rinses clean. For something that travels, it is the right answer.

They are small detail scissors rather than a heavy-duty pair — sharp and sized for close work. That is what the job needs.
Is there a jar in the set?
The set is the grinder, bowl, scissors, loader and case. If you want sealed storage as well, pair it with one of the jars — that is what they are for.
